Synchronous motor is controlled by thyristors which are itself controlled by CMOS integrated circuit. Thus the whole system is quite solid state. The Buck Boost Transformer and Variac are oil cooled housed in same or separate sheet metal tanks. Radiators provided for effective cooling if required. The transformer is incorporated with core of high grade Electrical Silicon steel Lamination to minimize the losses. |
